This is my first blog and it is my attempt to take more notice of the world around me. I plan to take a photo a day for 356 days, hopefully it will show that there are interesting things happening around me, and that my life isn't too dull!

This hollow, burnt out tree is a complete contrast to the greenery around it. It stands in a field facing other healthy green trees. It seems so sad that what must have been a magnificent tree at some point has had such a demise.
