This is my first blog and it is my attempt to take more notice of the world around me. I plan to take a photo a day for 356 days, hopefully it will show that there are interesting things happening around me, and that my life isn't too dull!

I didn't take this photo, my daughter did, and it is so much better than anything i could have taken today. This butterfly was on a Hebe that my sister gave to me last year. I plan to grow as many plants as possible to encourage bees and butterflies into the garden, my partner even bought a bee hut and butterfly house for them to retreat into over the winter, but that is a photo for another day.
